About Jeremy and Angie

Jeremy and Angie Jones are the duo behind the award-winning Pittsburgh destination blog, Discover the Burgh, and are the authors of The Pittsburgh Guidebook.

They founded Discover the Burgh in 2015 with the quest to do everything in Pittsburgh and southwest Pennsylvania. Since then, they have personally visited 1,400+ attractions, parks, restaurants, bars & breweries, events, and other experiences and add more every month.

Jeremy founded his first website, the global travel blog Living the Dream, in 2008, and has since visited 82 countries on five continents. Angie joined on board later (visiting nearly 70 countries with Jeremy), and together they now run many websites including the wine blog The Grape Pursuit, the home and garden blog Hipster Homesteaders, and Jeremy also co-authors the weekly blogging newsletter, This Week in Blogging.

Together they have won many awards including USA Today’s 10Best Travel Couples (2014), North America Travel Journalists Association’s Bronze Photography Aaward in “Landscape, Nature, and Archutecture Online (2019), and Pittsburgh City Paper’s Best Foodie Influencers (2020) and Best Blog (2021 and 2022). Jeremy and Angie are both Chemical Engineers and hold numerous certifications in wine (Jeremy, WSET Diploma), sake (Angie, WSET Level 3), and more.

When they’re not being active for their websites, they can be found at home learning bluegrass musical instruments, tending to their garden and beehives, cooking, walking their dog, and, when time allows, resting.
